The sun has finally shone on us on the last day - so we decided to do a 7 mile walk up the Black Mountains. Recommend the food at the Three Tuns in Hay. "We will be hard pressed to find another holiday ‘cottage’ of this size with so much character, such large grounds and in such a beautiful location as this…so it looks like we will have to come back to Blaencwm. We found lovely walks and challenging mountain biking outside the front door. We recommend walking to the top of ‘Lord Herefords Knob’, whatever the weather, as the views are stunning. It was very windy and slightly wet when we ventured up there which seemed to add to the experience. Yet we could still see down to the cottage. Don’t be surprised if when your children go into the garden, they return with a new identity – namely Ray Mears or Bear Grylls!!! We had a wonderful time and are returning home chilled and relaxed. My sister-in-law had her first lie-in for 20 years!!!"
